Tax Preparer

Our growing CPA firm in Northeast Iowa is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer with at least 5 years of experience preparing tax returns to join our team. This position offers tax work with a diverse client base, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, S corporations, trusts, and agricultural operations. The ideal candidate enjoys building client relationships, solving tax-related challenges, and delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal and state tax returns. Gather and analyze financial information and supporting documentation. Communicate directly with clients regarding tax preparation matters. Assist with tax projections and year-end planning. Maintain accurate work and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Collaborate with partners and staff to meet filing deadlines and client needs. Qualifications 5 years of tax preparation experience. Strong knowledge of individual, business, and agricultural taxation. Experience preparing partnership and entity tax returns. Ability to interpret tax laws and apply them to client situations. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and client service skills. Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office applications.
