They will be responsible for the procurement of various commodities including plastic parts, electronic parts and stampings.Essential FunctionsDevelop and manage the supplier base for regional and global suppliersNegotiate with suppliers for goods and services for best possible pricing, quality and scheduleManage RFQ process for new product developmentAct as functional lead supporting a structured project development process, working in close collaboration with commodity buyersCoordinate the qualification of new suppliersUtilize organization-wide purchasing policies and ensure complianceDevelop and maintain supplier performance metrics and systemsResearch new supplies and services, drive recommendations designed to reduce costs and improve qualityMaintain all required records of purchases, prices, and deliveriesServe as purchasing subject matter expert in areas related to changing material and commodity market conditionsCoordinate all purchasing activities with global purchasing organizationRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. Technical or Supply Chain degree preferred10+ years related experience.
