Maintenance Service Technician II

As a Maintenance Service Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all company owned machinery. We are looking for this individual to work on 2nd shift, which will include a 2nd shift differential.
Additional Duties:
Evaluates repair requests to determine course of action and or parts required.
Coordinates repair schedule with supervisors to minimize equipment down time.
Confers with machine manufacturer for troubleshooting.
Completes all required paperwork and updates service records as needed.
Sets example of a team member for less experienced employees by cooperating and showing commitment to customer service.
Performs advanced troubleshooting.
Makes recommendations for process improvements.
Cycles and jogs machine through all functions.
Completes preventative maintenance as required.
Maintains preventive maintenance schedules.
Performs all jobs without assistance, achieving top-level quality.
Maintains neat and orderly work areas.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent; BOCES Machine Shop or equivalent skilled trades school.
Experience: Minimum of three years of machine repair / machine shop experience. Basic electricity and advanced electronics skill.
Preferred Experience: Knowledge of cleanroom (FAB) wafer processing equipment preferred. Knowledge of electronic test equipment (DMM's, etc.) preferred. Experience handling hazardous chemicals and/or safety training preferred.
