Senior Java Developer focused on architecting microservices with Spring Boot + Kafka on Red Hat OpenShift. This consultant will deploy, manage and scale Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters. Also will configure, manage and monitor containerized applications running on Kubernetes or OpenShift in a role that balances new development with critical maintenance and testing responsibilities. Contract is for 8 months with a high likelihood of last longer. Required ( Resume must show this!): 8+ years Java/JEE microservices development with Spring REST and Spring Boot 4 + year -f integrating KAFKA for Event Driven Workflows 2 years of KAFKA Administration 1 year using AI Tools such as Claude Code 4 years working with Red Hat OpenShift Container platform 4 years developing automated unit tests with JUnit 4 years Eclipse or Spring Tool Suite or JBoss studio – 4 years 3 + years Github, JIRA 2 + years Oracle Exadata Preferred Skills: CI/CD Pipeline using GitHub Actions Agile methodologies and working as Scrum Master Maven
