Position Summary We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Optical Sales Associate to join our team. This person will assist patients with selecting eyewear, provide exceptional customer service, and support daily operations in the optical department. Responsibilities Patient & Customer Service Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming environment Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on style, lifestyle, and prescription needs Educate patients on lens options, insurance benefits, and promotions Provide excellent customer service from first interaction to product pickup Optical & Sales Ensure proper frame fit and perform minor eyewear adjustments Upsell lens coatings and premium products by explaining benefits Process eyewear orders accurately and efficiently Maintain organized displays and ensure the optical area is clean and inviting Administrative Support Verify and explain vision insurance benefits Process payments and manage point-of-sale transactions Assist with scheduling, patient communication, and follow-up as needed Support inventory management, including frame counting and restocking Qualifications Required: Strong customer service and communication skills Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent Retail or sales experience Preferred (but not required): Previous optical experience Knowledge of vision insurance (VSP, EyeMed, etc.) We are willing to train the right person!
