We are seeking an MRI Technologist to support the Veteran community in the Minneapolis, MN area. This position is open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals.
Position HighlightsLogistics:
Pay: $40 - $45
Contract Type: 1 base year with 1, 1-year option period
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. with occasional shift coverage for Evening & Weekend hours based upon need.
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Requirements:
U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Current certification through the American Registry of Radiological Technicians: R.T. (MR)(ARRT).
At least 1 year of DRT (Diagnostic Radiologic Technician) experience.
Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

What does a typical day look like for the MRI Technologist?
You will:
Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. with occasional shift coverage for Evening & Weekend hours based upon need.
Approximately 90% of the time will be involved in direct patient care.
Patient Care: Preparing and positioning patients for MRI scans, explaining the procedure, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
Equipment Operation: Selecting appropriate imaging techniques, calibrating and adjusting MRI equipment, and operating the MRI scanner to produce high-quality images.
Image Quality Assurance: Reviewing and verifying the quality of images, ensuring they meet the required standards for diagnostic purposes, and communicating with radiologists for further evaluation.
Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols to prevent exposure to magnetic fields and ensuring that patients do not have any metallic implants or devices that may be affected by the MRI.
Clinic Responsibilities: Contractor's DRT(s) shall be present on time for scheduled MRI shift start times as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time.
Approximately 10% of the time is not involved in direct patient care.
Record Maintenance: Contractor's DRT(s) shall maintain detailed patient records, documenting procedures performed, and handling confidential patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaboration: Contractor's DRT(s) shall work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and discuss imaging results and to provide comprehensive patient care.
QA/QI Documentation: The Contractor's DRT(s) shall complete the appropriate QM/PI documentation pertaining to all procedures, complications, and outcomes of examinations.
Customer Service: The Contractor's DRT(s) shall refer all patient/customer service issues to the Supervisory Physician, Nurse Manager or designee.
What qualifications do you look for?
