Orange County Government is committed to providing equal opportunity in employment and services to all individuals.Job DescriptionGeneral Functions:Responsible for developing traffic plans at the Orange County Convention Center including coordination of bus shuttles, signage, staffing, transportation and parking needs. Assists the Transportation Supervisor with the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the Transportation Section.Work is performed with independence under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor. Performance is reviewed through conferences, reports and results achieved.Representative Duties/Assignments:Prepares and monitors plans for controlling and overseeing vehicular traffic at the Convention Center, including parking areas. Supports Transportation Supervisor and Asst. Supervisor with supervision and scheduling of Traffic Coordinators, Traffic Masters and other transportation personnel. Moderates weekly transportation and traffic related meetings. Coordinates overall traffic plans with Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) personnel and show management. Coordinates hiring off-duty law-enforcement offices (to include personnel from the Orange County Sheriff¿s Office, Orlando Police Department, and Florida Highway Patrol) as well as corresponding supervisory staff, for traffic detail. Coordinates charter bus movement on and off property. Ensures all traffic and safety policies and procedures are enforced. Oversees transportation contracts. Determines temporary parking areas when needed. Meets the Code of Hospitality standards. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:Associates Degree and five years of experience in traffic, transportation, shuttle bus or public safety.
