To learn more about TECHEAD, visit us at TECHEAD.com or on Glassdoor.Lead Audio Visual Technician | 22348Raleigh, NCDirect HireSome Travel Required up to 50%We are actively seeking a Lead Audio Visual (AV) Technician with 5+ years of experience in commercial AV installations to join our growing field team.This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled AV Installer / Low Voltage Technician / AV Systems Specialist with experience in permanent commercial installations such as:• Conference Rooms & Boardrooms• Corporate Offices• Classrooms & Educational Facilities• Digital Signage Systems• Video Walls & Control SystemsImportant: This role is strictly for commercial AV installation.No live events, broadcast, or studio production experience will be considered.Key Responsibilities• Lead and supervise a team of AV Technicians / Low Voltage Installers on commercial job sites• Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio visual systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, and control systems• Manage low voltage cabling installations (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, coaxial, control wiring)• Perform cable termination (crimping, soldering, splicing)• Build and install equipment racks and AV infrastructure• Interpret and execute based on construction drawings, AV schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams• Conduct AV system testing, quality control, and commissioning• Troubleshoot AV systems, control systems, and network-related issues• Maintain project timelines, inventory, and installation standards• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and internal teams• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA safety standardsRequired Qualifications• 5+ years of commercial AV installation experience (MUST)• Strong background in low voltage systems, structured cabling, and AV integrationTECHEAD's mission is to make our associates successful by placing them in the right environment so they can grow and prosper.
