Project Engineer
Overview
In this role you will lead the technical development of civil engineering projects from planning through construction. You will collaborate with clients, project managers, and design teams across site civil, transportation, water resources, and related disciplines to deliver designs, reports, and analyses. You will manage budgeting, scheduling, and quality control while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development. This is a hands-on position at a multidisciplinary firm known for delivering complex infrastructure projects in the Southeast. You will shape solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements while coordinating across internal and external stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop designs, construction plans, specifications, and technical reportsLead design efforts from planning through constructionPerform engineering calculations, quantity estimates, and cost analysesCoordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholdersReview documents for quality, accuracy, and complianceAssist with scheduling, budgeting, and client communicationMentor junior engineers and technical staffSupport business development and proposal preparation
Key requirementsBachelor in Civil Engineering or related disciplineMinimum 4 years of engineering consulting experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience in Site Civil, Transportation, Water Resources, H&H, Coastal Engineering, Federal/ Municipal infrastructure, Land DevelopmentStrong project coordinationEffective communicationClient-facing collaborationCivil 3DOpenRoads DesignerMicroStation
