Material Handler
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler for our 1st shift operations in Lewiston, Maine. This is a 3-month assignment offering a pay rate of 19.50 USD per hour. The shift schedule runs from 3:00 am to 11:30 am.
Daily Responsibilities
In this high-energy warehouse setting, you will be responsible for stocking, loading, and unloading automotive parts and tires. You will utilize industrial machinery, including pickers and forklifts, and employ scanning technology to manage inventory placement. Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds on occasion. For heavier commercial tires, you will utilize mechanical aids or team-lifting techniques, and you must be capable of applying 40 pounds of pushing force when handling agricultural or barrel-style inventory. You will operate equipment at heights reaching 25 feet, requiring a high level of comfort and strict safety adherence. This role demands significant time on your feet and the flexibility to work overtime. You will help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by following all established protocols. Additionally, you may provide support to various areas such as inventory, e-commerce, or will-call services as operational needs arise.
