The successful candidate will be a strategic and empathetic leader, responsible for developing and executing a talent strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and the evolving needs of the community it serves. This role is pivotal in addressing workforce shortages, adapting to changing service demands, and navigating the complexities of a mission-driven, high-touch environment. The Chief People Officer will be a key member of the executive team, shaping the organizational culture, and ensuring that people practices reflect the values of dignity, equity, and impact. Key responsibilities for the Chief People Officer include strengthening staff culture, connection, and well-being, aligning the people strategy with organizational planning, leading a comprehensive workforce assessment, modernizing core HR systems, and proactively managing labor relations. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' of progressive HR leadership experience, with a strong background in labor relations, compliance, and people operations. They should be technologically proficient, innovative, and possess a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related field, along with SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification.
