Together, we carry forward the legacy of one of Portland’s most iconic hotels while continuing to shape experiences that feel distinctly connected to the city and its creative spirit.Requested TasksPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standardsProvide warm, attentive, and engaging service to guests at the bar and within the dining spaceDemonstrate strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, coffee, and brunch beverage offeringsAnticipate guest needs and create personalized experiences through thoughtful hospitalityMaintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards of the bar and surrounding service areasEnsure proper setup and breakdown of the bar for AM service operationsAccurately process guest orders, payments, and cash handling proceduresMonitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local lawsAssist with inventory organization, stocking, garnish preparation, and daily side work dutiesCollaborate closely with culinary and service teams to ensure seamless guest experiencesMaintain compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standardsRequested CapabilitiesPrevious bartending experience in a restaurant, hotel, or upscale hospitality environment preferredKnowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, coffee service, and beverage preparation techniquesStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a polished and approachable demeanorAbility to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environmentPassion for hospitality and delivering elevated guest experiencesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailFlexible schedule availability including mornings, weekends, and holidaysCurrent alcohol service certification preferred where applicableAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shiftAbility to lift and carry bar products, glassware, and supplies weighing up to 50 poundsAs part of Makeready, we offer a benefits experience designed with intention—supporting the full life of our team, not just their time at work.
