As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled Intermodal Dispatcher who's ready to contribute to our success and be part of a company that values its people.About the RoleAs an Intermodal Dispatcher, you will manage and coordinate the logistics of transporting containers across multiple transportation modes. You'll play a key role in ensuring that shipments are delivered on time, efficiently, and cost-effectively.Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.Must pass a background check (due to our FTZ Bonded Warehouse status)Key ResponsibilitiesContainer CoordinationSchedule and manage the pick-up and delivery of intermodal containersOversee the flow of containers between truck, rail, and shipping terminalsMaintain accurate documentation and records for each containerScheduling and Route PlanningPlan and optimize routes for timely and cost-effective transportationMonitor schedules and adjust as needed based on delays, weather, or trafficCommunicationServe as the central point of contact for driversProvide real-time updates to clients and internal teamsResolve issues quickly by coordinating with all relevant partiesCompliance and SafetyEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulationsEnforce safety standards to minimize risks during handling and transportTracking and MonitoringTrack container locations and communicate delivery estimatesUse GPS and dispatch software to monitor shipments in real timeRespond to delays or disruptions by adjusting routes or schedulesProblem SolvingAddress logistical challenges such as delays or capacity issuesCollaborate with the Transportation Manager to resolve any operational concernsDocumentationKeep accurate records of all dispatches, movements, and incidentsComplete all necessary shipping and customs documents accuratelyCustomer ServiceDeliver excellent service by managing inquiries and expectations professionallySkills and QualificationsEducation: High School diploma or equivalent required; degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferredExperience:Minimum two years in logistics, dispatching, or transportation managementStrong understanding of intermodal container operations and logistics technologiesSkills:Excellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesProficiency with TMS, GPS, and tracking systemsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneouslyEffective problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsAbility to work under pressure and adapt in fast-paced environmentsWhy Join UsAt LMD Integrated Logistics Services, we offer more than a job we offer a career.
