As part of an infrastructure modernization journey, this role will lead the migration to VMware Cloud Foundation 9 and pioneer AI-driven operational models, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across the full VMware ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesLead the migration to VMware Cloud Foundation 9 (VCF 9), ensuring zero downtime, security compliance, and alignment with enterprise baselinesDesign and evolve the integrated VMware stack (vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, Aria Operations, VRLI, VRNI) to meet high availability and ultra-low latency requirementsImplement Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, PowerCLI) to automate provisioning, patching, and lifecycle managementDeploy agentic AI assistants (LLM-powered ChatOps) for ticket triage, predictive alerting, and automated root cause analysisConfigure and maintain monitoring thresholds, alarms, and dashboards across Aria Operations, VRLI, and VRNIDrive DR planning and execution for critical workloads, maintaining RPO ≤ 5 seconds and RTO ≤ 15 minutesProvide Tier 2/3 production support including 24/7 on-call rotationContribute to cost optimization initiatives through VM right-sizing, capacity forecasting, and TCO improvementProfile5–7 years of hands-on experience designing and supporting large-scale VMware environments (vSphere 8+, NSX-T, vSAN)Strong automation background: PowerCLI, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell / PythonExperience with the Aria Operations suite (formerly vROps), VRLI, and VRNISolid understanding of enterprise storage (Pure Storage, NetApp, Dell/EMC, iSCSI) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, NSX-T micro-segmentation)Familiarity with AIOps concepts: predictive monitoring, LLM ChatOps, automated RCA, intelligent capacity forecastingExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and mentor junior team membersBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experienceCertifications appreciated: VCP-CMA · VCAP-CF · ITIL Foundation
