Regional Account Manager - IL

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and self-driven Regional Account Manager (RAM) with a strong passion for agriculture, customer success, and retention. This role owns and grows a defined territory across North Central, Northern Illinois, Southern Wisconsin and plays a critical role in ensuring customer success through consistent field presence, strong relationships, and clear value delivery to retail partners and their grower customers..The territory consists primarily of established accounts that require hands-on support, frequent communication, and clear guidance to fully realize the value of Taranis. Success in this role comes from building trust, being present throughout the season, and helping customers clearly understand and demonstrate ROI—both for their growers and within their own organizations.The goals of this role are twofold:Grow and deepen existing accounts through adoption, expansion, and measurable ROI impactSecure contracts with a limited number of new accounts in the region through a highly consultative sales approachThis position is based within the territory and requires frequent travel. This role is remotely located in North Central, Northern Illinois, and Southern Wisconsin.Core AccountabilityDrive revenue growth across the assigned territory through retention, expansion, and selective new customer acquisitionOwn commercial relationships, including contracts, renewals, and expansion discussionsLead account strategy and ensure customers clearly realize and demonstrate ROI from TaranisSuccess metrics include revenue attainment, renewals, account expansion, ROI realization, and regional growthDrive customer experience post sale with customer success team and broader Taranis teams.Responsibilities:Account Ownership & Revenue GrowthServe as the primary, consistent point of contact for customers in the assigned territoryGrow and deepen existing accounts through adoption, expansion, renewals, and increased engagementProspect and close new business opportunities within the available market in the regionLead contract discussions, renewals, pricing conversations, and commercial negotiationsIdentify opportunities to increase engagement and expand Taranis’ footprint within accountsDevelop and execute yearly, quarterly, and weekly sales plans aligned with regional goalsAccurately track activity, pipeline, and forecasts in SalesforceField Presence & Customer EnablementMaintain a high-touch, in-field presence with customers throughout the seasonClearly set expectations with customers pre-season and actively follow up during the growing seasonGuide customers on how to operationalize Taranis within their business workflowsHelp customers demonstrate clear ROI—both to growers and within their internal organizationsDeliver in-person and virtual trainings, webinars, and presentations on the Taranis platformHandle customer challenges and issues proactively, efficiently, and with a solutions-oriented mindsetCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Customer Success to support onboarding, platform adoption, engagement, proof of value, and renewal readinessPartner with Product Marketing to share structured customer feedback, field insights, and support feature launches and go-to-market initiativesCoordinate with Operations / Flight Operations to ensure service delivery aligns with customer expectations and commercial commitmentsCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution and a strong customer experienceRequirements:Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in agricultural input sales with a proven track record of successIntermediate agronomic knowledge in corn and soybean production systemsExperience managing complex, consultative sales cyclesClear understanding of sales targets, forecasting, and budget managementStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present strategy to key stakeholdersResults-oriented with strong follow-up, ownership, and accountabilityWillingness and ability to travel frequently within the territoryPreferred Qualifications (Advantage)2+ years of experience in Precision Agriculture or AgTech salesIntermediate knowledge of precision agriculture, imagery, or digital agronomic toolsEstablished connections within the Ag industryExisting network within ag-retail channelsExperience using Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Suite, Zoom (preferred but not required), and acceptance of other new sales enablement tools.Why Join Taranis?:At Taranis, we not only innovate for global impact but also cherish the values that make our workplace inclusive, supportive, and forward-thinking.
