Senior Mechanical Engineer - No C2CAllen Park, MI (100% Onsite)RoushLong-Term Contract + Full Benefits$53–$56/hrOverviewWe are seeking a hands-on, well-rounded Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience across the full product development lifecycle. This role is ideal for an engineer who can lead projects end-to-end—from concept through production—rather than specializing in a single component. You will work on a variety of programs for both large and small customers, leading technical efforts while mentoring team members and ensuring high-quality deliverables.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Project ExecutionLead engineering and design teams to develop and release 3D CAD models and detailed drawingsProvide clear direction on design concepts, parameters, and trade-offsEnsure designs meet internal standards and customer requirementsProgram Coordination & CommunicationCommunicate program updates, milestones, risks, and deliverables to engineering teams and leadershipSupport program reviews with internal and external stakeholdersMonitor engineering program status, including budget, timelines, and technical healthDesign Validation & QualityOversee development of engineering reports for design reviews and issue resolutionEnsure accuracy and maintenance of engineering Bills of Materials (BOM)Coordinate CAE resources to validate designs through simulation and analysisEnsure adherence to quality systems, processes, and work instructionsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with program managers, customers, and cross-functional teamsIdentify and communicate scope changes proactivelyEnsure alignment with customer expectations and program objectivesMentorship & Team DevelopmentMentor and guide engineers and designers on best practicesReview and oversee technical deliverables to ensure quality and consistencyQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldNo H1-B VISA sponsorship needed now or in the future.
