Electrical Engineer – Data Center UPS Infrastructure

Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Data Center UPS Infrastructure (Contract)Company: Rexus USA LLCLocation: Hanscom, MassachusettsEmployment Type: Contract (Project Based)About the ProjectRexus USA LLC has been awarded a project at Hanscom MA, to connect the existing data center equipment to the building's primary UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). The project involves electrical engineering, site assessment, design review, installation support, testing, and final documentation while ensuring minimal disruption to live data center operations.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct an on-site survey of the existing electrical infrastructure.Inventory equipment connected and not connected to the UPS.Perform electrical load calculations and UPS capacity verification.Prepare one-line electrical diagrams.Verify conductor sizing, breaker coordination, and voltage drop calculations.Review existing as-built drawings and validate field conditions.Coordinate with the Rexus Project Manager and customer representatives.Support procurement by validating required electrical materials.Provide technical guidance to the installation team.Review installation quality and ensure compliance with project specifications.Support testing, commissioning, and system validation.Prepare final as-built drawings and engineering documentation.Attend project meetings and provide technical updates.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of commercial electrical distribution systems.Experience with UPS systems and critical power infrastructure.Ability to prepare and review one-line electrical diagrams.Knowledge of:NEC (National Electrical Code)OSHA regulationsElectrical safety practicesExperience with:Electrical panelsCircuit breakersPower distributionConduit systemsFeeder and branch circuitsFamiliarity with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.Ability to interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics.Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.5 to 8+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or data center electrical projects.Experience with mission-critical facilities or data centers.Experience working with Eaton UPS systems is preferred.Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not mandatory.Experience supporting U.S. Government or military projects is an advantage.EngagementContract PositionImmediate StartCompetitive CompensationOpportunity to work on a U.S. Government infrastructure project.
