This role is essential in providing a professional, organized, and compassionate first point of contact for our patients.ResponsibilitiesGreet and register patients upon arrival and collect copays and patient balances.Schedule appointments, answer phones, and manage patient correspondence.Enter patient information into the EMR and transmit required information to billing staff.Scan, upload, fax, and copy patient documents and medical records.Maintain and organize patient medical records within the electronic health record system.Obtain and send medical records to providers and insurance companies.Communicate calmly and respectfully with patients and families during times of stress or concern.Respond to phone calls and messages in a timely and professional manner.Proactively manage clinic schedules by filling cancellations and prioritizing appointments.Work independently while maintaining strong organizational standards.QualificationsExperience in medical reception, patient registration, scheduling, and eligibility verification.Experience working with medical insurance companies required.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to work independently and take initiative.Computer proficiency and EMR experience preferred.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
