Oregon LEA Technician

As part of BearCom, Stone Security offers the resources and stability of a larger organization while maintaining a strong focus on technical excellence.Role Description The Oregon LEA Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, OR, responsible for installing, configuring, and servicing low-voltage security systems in compliance with Oregon LEA requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include pulling and terminating cable, mounting and connecting cameras and access control devices, and ensuring all devices are integrated properly with networked systems. The technician will read and interpret plans and drawings, follow project specifications, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other field technicians to complete installations on schedule. The role includes troubleshooting system issues, performing routine maintenance, documenting work performed, and communicating status updates clearly and professionally. This position also requires adherence to safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and interacting respectfully with clients and on-site partners.Qualifications Low-voltage and security systems expertise, including experience with surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection installations.Ability to read and interpret construction documents, wiring diagrams, device layouts, and technical specifications.Proficiency with hand and power tools, cable pulling and termination, labeling, and basic network connectivity checks.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills for resolving device, wiring, and integration issues in the field.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.Commitment to safety practices, including following OSHA guidelines and site-specific safety requirements.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites in the Portland, OR area and surrounding regions as needed.Oregon LEA license or ability to obtain required state licensing within an established timeframe.High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in low-voltage, networking, or security systems are a plus.Previous field experience in security integration, telecommunications, electrical, or related trades is preferred.
