The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.Spotlight on PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend | Springfield, OregonThe Behavioral Health Clinician on the Crisis and Consult & Liaison (C&L) Team provides timely behavioral health assessments for patients experiencing acute psychiatric needs in the Emergency Department and on inpatient medical units. The clinician completes Mental Health Exams and risk assessments to support disposition planning, including inpatient psychiatric admission or referral to community-based services. Behavioral health crises may present in many forms, including suicidal or homicidal ideation, recent suicide attempts, acute psychosis, substance use concerns, or emotional distress. The Crisis and C&L Team play a vital role in bridging medical and behavioral health care by collaborating closely with attending clinicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to address safety and treatment needs. Patients served come from all walks of life and represent a wide range of diagnoses and experiences, and this role offers the opportunity to provide patient-centered, trauma‑informed care while helping guide clinical decision-making and ensure access to the most appropriate and least restrictive level of behavioral health support.Job SummaryCoordinates and oversees the plan of care and service delivery of behavioral health consumers across the continuum of illness; promotes effective utilization and monitoring of health care resources; and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Provide services to consumers with commercial insurance and Medicaid.Details of the position:Provides individual, family, group and multi-family group therapy to patients with complex diagnostic presentations and treatment needs.Provides clinical leadership to team of masters’ and bachelors’ level clinical and student interns.Assesses, develops, implements and monitors a comprehensive plan of care through an interdisciplinary team process in conjunction with the patient and their self-identified natural supports.Evaluates and provides interventions to improve a patient’s cognitive, social, vocational, spiritual, and emotional functioning, utilizing natural and community supports when possible.Provides urgent/crisis evaluations, interventions, and safety planning.Together with consumer and natural supports, identifies key problems, strengths and resources to be addressed in the treatment plan.May provide case management, coordination with other treatment agencies or outside support services, outreach and engagement.Performs other duties as assigned.What you bring:Master's Degree Required: Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family TherapyExperienceMinimum of 3 years Required: Experience in behavioral health andRequired: Experience in diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex mental health conditions andPreferred: Experience provided clinical supervision to bachelors’ and masters’ level cliniciansCredentialsRequired: Upon Hire Licensed Professional Counselor - Oregon for jobs based in Oregon orRequired: Upon Hire Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Oregon for jobs based in Oregon orRequired: Upon Hire Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist-Oregon for jobs based in Oregon andRequired: Upon Hire Basic Life SupportSkillsInterpersonal skills to obtain and interpret information appropriate to patients’ needs and age as required for assessment range of treatment, and patient care.
