Behavioral Intervention Specialist

A New Hope, LLC is hiring Behavioral Intervention Specialists to work with children and young adults with developmental disabilities in home and community-based settings.This position focuses on helping participants build communication, social, behavioral, and independent living skills through one-on-one support and structured interventions. Sessions may take place in homes, community settings, or other environments based on participant needs.This role requires patience, consistency, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following individualized treatment plans.ResponsibilitiesImplement behavioral intervention and skill-building plansWork directly with participants ages 3-21Support participants in home and community settingsMaintain accurate session notes and documentationCommunicate professionally with families, supervisors, and team membersPrioritize participant safety and engagement during sessionsQualifications Bachelor's degree in a human services field required (psychology, sociology, education, social work, etc.)1,040+ hours of experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilitiesValid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current insurance requiredBasic technology and documentation skills requiredAbility to adapt to different environments and situationsRBT training required (training available through A New Hope)Must successfully pass a criminal background check in accordance with Idaho state requirementsCompensation & Benefits $25.00/hourMileage reimbursement between sessionsCPR/First Aid and RBT training available through A New HopeHealth, dental, and life insurance available for eligible full-time employeesNOTICE: This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
