Thank you!JOB DESCRIPTION This expansion role is for a Network Architect in the DC/MD/NoVA/RTP metro areas to perform on‑site and project‑based consulting with various customers to architect, design, and support the implementation of multi‑vendor network infrastructures, with a strong preference for Cisco‑based network experience. Additionally this critical addition to our talented team will do assessments and work on business development efforts with our Sales and our Systems Architecture teams.In this role, you will:Assess, design, implement, troubleshoot, and document Cisco networks and related systemsDevelop both high‑level and detailed implementation and test plans for Cisco technologies related to enterprise networksProvide knowledge transfer and informal training to clientsThe successful candidate will be a self‑starter who is able to work in a team environment and can resolve issues independently and as a senior member of a team. Having a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and strong clear communication (verbal and written) capabilities is key.A typical day in this role would include high‑level and detailed design, implementation, operations, troubleshooting and issue resolution. You will develop documentation as it relates to project requirements, and assist with or develop customer facing presentations of technology solutions.QUALIFICATIONSCisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or CCIE level expertise in Enterprise Infrastructure (formerly Route/Switch), Security, Data Center or Service Provider10+ years of experience in the design of large enterprise networksGood understanding and practical experience with routing protocols (EIGRP, OSFP, and BGP)Familiarity with Virtual Private Network (VPN) and firewall technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Check Point, etc)Must be able to work with end‑users, communicate clearly, and meet deadlinesWhile not an absolute must, practical experience with designing and deploying Network Management Systems / IT Management Systems solutions from vendors such as SolarWinds, Cisco, Sales Logic, SevOne or CA is a VERY STRONG plusExperience with Nexus 7K/5K/2K/100V switchesFamiliarity with SAN technology including FC, FCoE, and iSCSIFamiliarity with VMware virtual and storage environmentsFamiliarity with Software Defined NetworksNetwork programmability for automating network tasks is a plusFamiliarity with Network Security Technologies like ISE, Zero Trust, SDA, SegmentationGood understanding and practical experience with switching technologies (Spanning tree, EtherChannel, Port Security, 802.1X, MAB)#J-18808-Ljbffr
