Team members work in partnership with individuals, families, and community stakeholders to support greater independence and quality of life.Role Description The Senior Program Director is a full-time, on-site role based in the general western Massachusetts and Connectusetts areas. This role oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that support individuals with disabilities, ensuring services align with organizational mission, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The Senior Program Director leads and coaches program managers and staff, sets performance expectations, and promotes a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Daily responsibilities include monitoring program budgets, reviewing service quality metrics, coordinating with community partners and funding agencies, and resolving operational issues. The role also involves developing strategic initiatives, preparing reports for senior leadership, managing compliance audits, and engaging with families and caregivers to address needs and feedback.QualificationsProgram leadership skills including team management, supervision, and performance development in human services or related fields.Experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation, with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, including working effectively with individuals, families, staff, and community partners.Knowledge of disability services, person-centered practices, and relevant state and federal regulations.Proficiency in budgeting, resource allocation, and use of basic office and data management software.Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions, solve problems, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, public administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.Prior experience in a senior or director-level role within disability services, community-based programs, or nonprofit organizations is highly beneficial.
