Electromechanical Technician - 2nd shift

Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionHudson Deep Draw in Ormond Beach, Florida is hiring a 2nd shift Electromechanical Technician with hours of 3:30pm to 2:00am Monday - Thursday. The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electrical and mechanical equipment used in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production by ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards. The technician will work with electrical systems, mechanical components, automated equipment, and PLC-controlled machinery.RequirementsInstall, assemble, and set up production and plant equipmentBuild and configure machinery involving both electrical wiring and mechanical componentsInspect equipment and systems regularly to identify and prevent potential failuresTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain motors, conveyors, control panels, and hydraulic and pneumatic systemsDiagnose electrical and mechanical issues using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic softwareAnalyze circuits, wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and programs needed to install, repair, calibrate, and service electrical and electronic equipmentInterpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other technical documentsTest machinery and systems after installation or repair to ensure safe and efficient operationSupport automated manufacturing equipment, including PLC-controlled systemsPerform work requiring knowledge of electrical theory, electrical codes, and the operating principles of industrial equipmentTroubleshoot equipment failures independently or as part of a teamFollow all OSHA regulations and company safety proceduresPerform other duties as assigned in support of business objectives Required Skills and QualificationsKnowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, motors, and controlsUnderstanding of mechanical systems, including gears, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumaticsAbility to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with PLCs and automated systemsAbility to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools effectivelyAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environmentEducation and ExperienceAssociate degree or technical certificate in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferredExperience with industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment preferredOSHA safety certification, PLC training, or other related certifications are a plus
