Job Opportunity: Maintenance Worker at The Osborn Position Overview: The Osborn is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities team. Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities and Property, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, carpentry, and general construction. You will play a key role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our physical plant equipment while ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents and staff. Key Responsibilities: Inspect, maintain, and operate physical plant equipment, maintaining accurate logs. Perform preventative maintenance and handle service requests efficiently. Assist in inspections and testing of Life Safety equipment. Respond to maintenance service requests and communicate progress effectively. Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion. Support co-workers with various duties as needed. Maximize building efficiency and comfort in heating and cooling operations. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Strong math skills for accurate measurements and problem-solving. Prior maintenance experience preferred. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to follow instructions. Customer service-oriented, with professionalism towards residents, staff, and vendors. Ability to work independently with attention to detail. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry 10-100 lbs, and push/pull carts up to 100 lbs. Ability to bend, sit, stand, and move around the building for extended periods.
