Colorectal Surgeon Job Summary
Beacon Medical group is actively pursuing a BC/BE and fellowship trained Colorectal Surgeon that will have the opportunity to focus their practice in one of two different ways. The first option would be a practice limited to Colon and Rectal surgery cases including endoscopy, minimally invasive surgical procedures, elective and emergency procedures. The second option would allow the incoming surgeon to engage in a meticulously balanced mix of colorectal and general surgery cases (60/40), gradually transitioning towards an exclusive emphasis on colorectal cases.
Our colorectal surgeon will benefit from an excellent and cooperative relationship with GI that work hand in hand with all of our surgeons. This provider will have the opportunity to work with 13 skilled surgeons and additional Advanced Practice Providers.
The right candidate will be committed to driving a quality colorectal program and holding all physicians, APPs, and staff accountable to the quality initiatives within the program.
Must Have Qualifications for Colorectal Surgeon
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Fellowship trained Colorectal surgeon
Committed to clinical excellence
Excellent communication skills and dedication to delivering high quality patient care
Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications for Colorectal Surgeon
Robotic experience is a plus
Work Schedule:
This dynamic position involves 36 patient contact hours per week.
Call duties are shared at a ratio of 1:5 on weekdays and weekends and will be coordinated with general surgery partners.
This is a 1.0 FTE position with call shared equally amongst the group.

Affiliation with Indiana University School of Medicine at Notre Dame and Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency allows for teaching of residents, medical students and supervision of post‑graduate trainees.
The program has a strong working relationship with regional academic centers and collaborates with these centers frequently when caring for patients. We provide an opportunity to participate in limited medical student/resident education and clinical research.
