We take pride in providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our clients and guests.Special Job Requirements:Seasonal, Part-Time Role: This position runs June through October, with peak season in September–October, when roughly 60% of events occur. Staff must be available for at least one training shift in May.Schedule Expectations: Most of our events are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays, particularly during peak season. However, we host several events on weekdays, and staff with flexible availability that includes weekdays are highly valued for this role. Availability on holidays, weekends, and evenings is an expected and required part of this job.Minimum Shifts: Staff are expected to work a minimum of 10 shifts over the season. Additional shifts are available for those who want more hours.Availability Form: In May, staff will complete a form where they will sign up for all events they can work for the season. Exact start times and schedules for each event will be posted two-three weeks in advance. Only emergencies should prevent attendance. New shifts may also become available as more events are booked during the season.Reliable Attendance Required: Staff who cannot meet their commitments may not be scheduled for future events.Additional Opportunity: Boxcar Bar ShiftsAlongside event bartending, we are also seeking team members interested in working shifts at our Boxcar Bar.The Boxcar Bar is a small, public-facing bar that serves both hotel guests and local community members. Hotel guests receive drink tokens during their stay, and we also welcome locals and small groups looking for a relaxed, social atmosphere.Shifts run Thursday–Sunday from 4:45 PM–9:15 PM. The space seats approximately 20 guests indoors, with additional seating on the deck and expanded capacity in our courtyard during the summer months. Due to the intimate setting, these shifts are typically staffed by one bartender.The Boxcar Bar also occasionally hosts private events, which may be included as part of these shifts.ResponsibilitiesPrepare alcohol or non-alcohol beveragesInteract with customers, take orders and serve and drinksAssess customers needs and preferences and make recommendationsMix ingredients to prepare cocktailsPrep bar ingredientsPresent bar menu to guests and answer questionsCheck customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking ageRestock and replenish bar inventory and suppliesKeep bar clean and presentable throughout shiftStay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experienceComply with all food and beverage regulationsOccasionally assist event team with event tear-down including assisting with the set up and break down of tables and chairsReport to Event SupervisorQualificationsProven working experience as a bartender preferredKnowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinksKnowledge of a second language will be considered a plusPositive attitude and excellent communication skillsAbility to keep the bar organized, stocked and cleanBasic cash handling skillsRelevant training certificateWe are looking forward to hearing from you!By applying to this job, you agree to receive periodic text messages from this employer and Homebase about your pending job application.
