General Laborer/Forklift OperatorLocation: Mt. Vernon, IN (Evansville region) Division: TMI Fabricators Direct Report: Shop SupervisorJob Summary: As a General Laborer/Forklift Operator, you will be performing a variety of manual labor tasks to support warehouse and fabrication operations, including loading and unloading materials, operating forklifts, and assisting in production. The ideal candidate will have a moderate understanding of general fabrication processes and be comfortable working under close supervision.Key Responsibilities:Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving materialsAssists a variety of functions across departments with manual labor as neededOperates forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient mannerSupports shipping, receiving, and inventory processesMaintains a clean and organized work areaFollows safety protocols and company procedures at all timesAssists with basic fabrication tasks as neededWorks under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional areaParticipates in routine equipment inspections and reports maintenance needsQualifications:High school diploma or GED preferredValid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)Prior forklift operation or general labor experience preferredModerate understanding of general fabrication or warehouse processesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyStrong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliabilityEffective communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to follow directions and ask questions when unsure
