Apprentice Cable Technician
Work hours may vary depending on the project. Some projects may be 2nd shift. Travel is expected 75% of the time, company provides transportation from our home base.
This position is an entry level apprentice position, in training to be a Cable Technician.
Some of the training/job duties include:
Using ladders and safety
Using an aerial lift (scissor and boom lift) certification and safety
Using power tools like drills, saws, multi-tools, and safety
Mounting network cabinets
Mounting WiFi access points
Mounting security cameras
Pointing security cameras
Mounting, cutting, and bending conduit
Penetrating walls both interior and exterior
Adding firestop and maintaining code during the build-out
Pulling CAT6 communication wire
Terminating CAT6
Testing CAT6
Pulling fiber optics
Terminating fiber optics
Testing fiber optics
Adding old work boxes
Adding surface mount boxes
Cargo Safety
Trailer Safety
Company vehicle safety and expectations
