The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.Status: Full Time RegularShift: DAY SHIFTDepartment: Quality Dept.Position SummarySummary:The RN Coordinator assists in facilitating and implementing the hospital-wide performance improvement plan; collaborates with physicians, managers and other members of the health care team to improve patient care services and outcomes; identifies quality issues and formulate corrective action plans and monitor for sustained improvement; and assists in ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements. The RN Coordinator plays a key role on Disease Management Teams and Committees to provide the interdisciplinary team with the latest reporting requirements, reports from chart abstracted data, and facilitate action plan development and execution for improved patient outcomes. Cases are entered for peer review to determine if standard of care has been met.QualificationsResponsibilities:Education Required• Must complete in-house orientation program• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or other appropriate health care fieldExperience And Skills• Speaks, reads and writes English.• 3-5 years in related experience, i.e. hospital performance improvement, management or other health related.• Team skills and interpersonal skills.• Data Analysis skills, report writing, presentational skills.• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.License/Certifications• Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification or equivalent - a plus (to be obtained after three years of employment).• Current and valid New York State registration authorizing practice as a registered Professional Nurse.Working ConditionsOther information:Working Conditions• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn.• Handle multiple priorities under stress.• May require prolonged periods at computer terminal.• Walking and moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
