The Med Surg RN provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions while practicing in accordance with ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. POSITION OVERVIEW Permanent, full-time role Inpatient Medical-Surgical unit Broad adult patient population Strong support for new graduate nurses Collaborative, team-based care environment SHIFT DETAILS Day, evening, night, or rotating shifts per departmental policy Weekend coverage required based on unit needs Scheduled off at least three holidays per year Occasional overtime may be required KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide direct nursing care to patients with diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, renal failure, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Act as a patient advocate and support patient and family education Utilize clinical equipment and technology competently Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams REQUIREMENTS Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of permanent residency American Heart Association BLS certification (required) New graduates encouraged to apply CMSRN preferred but not required WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY This role is ideal for both new graduate and experienced nurses seeking stability, strong clinical support, and long-term growth.
