Dance Instructor

Dance Instructor Job Description: Dance + Movement Instructor Position Description: Our Dance + Movement Learning Leaders are experienced with instructing young children and/or teens. They are passionate about being a part of and teaching with the Creative Nomads team. Our Dance + Movement teaches focus through movement and learning limited choreography. Learning Leaders are responsible, skillful, and creative. Classes will engage in co-operative dance through group movement. Job Types: Contract, Temporary | Pay: $55.00 per session | Location: Virtual + In Person Job Duties + Responsibilities: Construct + implement weekly lesson plans focused on dance + movement. Arrive to class 15 minutes prior to session start time. Create a fun + safe learning environment + maintain the health + safety of all youth. Prepare + sets up for sessions either in person, virtually, or both Cleans up after each in person session Establish + maintain positive relationships with youth + parents Communicate regularly with the Project Coordinator Position Requirements: Ability to demonstrate + participate in the activity or skills that is being taught Ability to routinely + repetitively bend to lift more than 30 lbs. Passionate about working with youth + has the ability to build rapport with youth Positive + patient personality Ability to uphold Creative Nomads values + mission through actions and interactions Education, Experience and Skills A minimum of 6+ months of teaching children ages 3-16 in similar programs or activities Excellent written + verbal communication skills Selected candidates will undergo a background check Professional certification preferred but not required Company Description: Who We Are: Creative Nomads is a community focused on the professional and craft development of arts entrepreneurs and on providing access to arts,music, and cultural programming to all youth and families.
