Skilled Accounting Clerk

Kent Quality Foods, Inc., a premier manufacturer of specialty meat products based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking candidates for the position of Accounting Clerk. This position will be responsible for assisting the Controller and Accountant in the management and reporting of all company financials. Core Competencies: Highly organized and self-motivated Detail-oriented and accurate Confidential handling of information Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments Understanding of basic accounting principles Prior Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable experience is highly desired Knowledgeable of accounting software systems Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office software (experience with MS Business Central/Dynamics 365 ERP system a plus) Strong filing and data entry skills Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills Position Responsibilities: Perform Accounts Receivable functions - billing, cash receipts, past-due reports, research and contact customers to follow-up on short-pays and deductions, etc. Process Accounts Payable - experience with integrated payables/virtual card preferred Manage payroll and preparation of payroll graphs and labor efficiencies Process broker commissions and customer rebates Compile finished goods inventory graphs and reports Reconcile bank account statements Cross-training with other members of Accounting department Kent Quality Foods offers a competitive wage and benefits package, including quarterly profit-sharing, year-end bonus, 401(k) match and comprehensive health insurance benefits.
