Maintains and repairs all types of equipment within craft knowledge and expertise. Requires broadened technical skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities. May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.ResponsibilitiesLeads inspection activities in the areas to achieve the GMISS standard and meet with the compliance.Deploys inspection technologies and innovation to support inspection and repair activities in the areas.Leads API Level II inspector and NDT technicians for inspection activities with safe operations and cost-effective manners.Facilitates morning tailgate safety meeting with all API Level II inspection and NDT technicians.Reviews compliance lookahead items and develops the pre-assessment inspection plans with API Level II inspectors and NDT technicians in the area.Reviews all inspection and NDT reports for completeness that meets professional standard and quality. Signs off on all inspection reports in the areas.Serves as quality assurance personnel for CML / TMLs data, Corrosion Monitoring Report (CMR) to ensure the accuracy in RBI system (GE-APM).Responsible to ensure the completion of EXINSP / ININSP compliances for all PCE and piping in the areas.Attends Plant Assessment Team (PAT) Meetings and provides technical input on post-assessments and repair plans, if any.Completes repair plans and provide technical input in completing Quality Control (QC) Plans with Plant Assessment Team (PAT).Participates in defining and recommending repair path for deficiency resolution.Participates in Turnaround (TA) job and schedule review, resource planning and execution.Serves as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques in the other inspection, repairs and root cause investigations for PCE and piping.Serves as one of the approvers for inspection deferrals.Provides technical support to the responsible area audits and assessment including EH&S Integrated Audit, GMWP Audit and GMISS Deep Drill.Provides technical support and solution/trouble shooting for equipment and piping inspection and repair.RequirementsA minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.Minimum 5 years of experience in process equipment and piping inspectionHave at least two (2) API qualifications out of three (3) - API-510 (Pressure Vessel), API-570 (Piping Inspection), API-653 (Storage Tank) OR must be a ASNT Level II or higher in at least two of the following NDT disciplines: Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), or Radiographic Testing (RT) Film Interpretation.A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.Preferred SkillsAdditional API or American Welding Society (AWS) certifications beyond the minimum requirements.
