About the Role
Serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding new field team members, from their first day through their first full season
Lead hands-on training for all new crew members on company standards, safety procedures, tools, and installation techniques
Step in and sub for field team members when someone is out so that no project falls behind
Lead small landscape projects from start to finish, coordinating crew and communicating with clients on site
Split your time between the field and the office, supporting both where the need is greatest on any given day
Assist the office team with administrative needs including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up
Help maintain accurate records of crew training progress, project status updates, and operational notes
Be a culture carrier on the job site, modeling the standards that Thrasher is known for
Work with production and sales teams to ensure smooth handoffs from estimate to installation
Identify gaps in field processes and suggest ways to improve how we train and deploy crews
Qualifications and Previous Experience
Proven ability to teach and mentor others with patience and a positive approach
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong communication skills and ability to work across both field crews and office staff
Organized and dependable with strong attention to detail
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Experience in a field operations, crew leadership, or training role in landscaping, construction, or a related outdoor services trade
Physically able to perform landscaping and hardscape installation tasks
Proficiency with basic business technology including email, scheduling tools, and spreadsheets
Hands-on experience with landscape design, irrigation, or hardscape installation is a plus
