Machine Operator/Assembler

Unipar, LLC is a manufacturer and remanufacturer of EMD (Electro-Motive Division) diesel engine components used in the rail, marine, and power generation industries. Unipar is certified under the American Association of Railroads (AAR) M-1003 for our quality assurance program. For more than 40 years, Unipar has delivered quality components to Class I Railroads, Vessel Owners, short line railroads, and other users of EMD engines. Unipar is seeking new applicants to assist in the processes required. Applicants will assist in machining components, while operating a variety of machines. Responsibilities Include: Use of Air Tools Use of Hand Tools Documenting Procedures Using Proper PPE Properly Testing Components Using Torque Wrenches Operate Lathes Operate Mills Operate Seat Grinder Operate Magnaflux Maintaining Proper Inventory levels, and notifying supervisor when parts are needed Requirements: Standing in place for extended periods of time Ability to lift 35-50 lbs without assistance Read and write (legibly) English Follow established procedures Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Experience: Machining: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
