Senior Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.This role will focus on the internal platforms and services that help engineers ship reliable software faster across the organization. You will own core developer infrastructure spanning CI, build systems, and deployment orchestration, with a strong emphasis on improving productivity, speed, and confidence in production releases. The position partners closely with engineering teams to identify workflow bottlenecks and deliver scalable platform improvements. It also includes technical leadership, operational ownership, and mentorship in a highly collaborative environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $186,065 – $218,900 annuallyResponsibilities Design and operate core developer infrastructure services for CI, build systems, and deployment orchestration Improve engineering productivity by reducing build and CI times, accelerating deploy speed, and improving test feedback quality Own services end to end, including architecture, SLOs, and on-call operations Collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points and implement platform enhancements Lead technical designs for significant cross-functional projects and drive them to production Mentor and support engineers while influencing the technical direction of the platformQualifications 5+ years of production software experience, especially in distributed systems, with proficiency in Go or similar languages Proven track record of launching impactful backend or platform systems from design to production Strong focus on reliability, security, and observability in operational practices Ability to communicate clearly, lead projects independently, and collaborate with cross-functional teams Customer-centric approach with an emphasis on improving fellow engineers' productivity Experience in developer infrastructure domains such as CI/CD, build systems, or test infrastructure Familiarity with large-scale systems using Kubernetes, AWS, and related technologiesBenefits Health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan options Equity and bonus eligibility as part of total compensationOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
