This role involves assisting with patient vital signs, updating charts, compiling data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. You will provide direct patient care under supervision, contributing to a positive clinical environment.Key Responsibilities:Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and well-being at all times.Accurately document patient care and interactions during visits and calls.Collect and process point-of-care, lab, and pathology samples following established protocols.Perform quality and safety checks on waived testing equipment and supplies.Provide patient education as directed by healthcare providers.Administer treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies under licensed provider orders.Assist providers during procedures and examinations, including chaperoning and setup.Prepare reusable instruments for sterilization and manage biohazard and pharmaceutical waste per safety guidelines.Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment by adhering to infection prevention standards.Manage supply inventory in designated clinical areas.Support front desk functions such as greeting patients and scheduling appointments.Assist with coding and billing data entry for insurance and quality assurance purposes.Coordinate with external healthcare partners to support patient care plans.Monitor electronic communications and respond promptly.Perform components of well visits and scheduled nursing visits as directed.Complete all required documentation prior to provider visits.Conduct high-level disinfection procedures as per policy.Flexibility to float to other clinics as needed.Education, Experience, and Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required.Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and successful certification through a nationally recognized organization such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.Preferred: Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in an outpatient setting.Strong communication skills with patients, staff, and providers both in person and via phone.Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations and activate emergency services.Physical ability to perform clinical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and handling clinical equipment.Willingness to adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
