Position SummaryThis position plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in the plantKey Responsibilities & Essential FunctionsAnalyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipmentRecommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipmentConfers with management to implement plans and analyzes product or equipment specifications, performance requirements to determine product designs, which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methodsDetermines feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factorsProvides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planningConfers with plant manager to clarify or resolve problems and develops designPrepares or directs preparation of product or system layout, tooling layouts, product design and detailed drawings and schematicsCompiles and analyzes operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment or productPlans and develops experimental test programsRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science degree (B.S.E.) in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or universityAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and peersAbility to apply mathematical operations and/or statistical analysis to calculate standards, efficiency, capacity, etc.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formDimensional skill requiredInitiative, ability to learn, oral and written communications, adaptability, team cooperation, planning and organization, and problem solutionExperience in the automotive industry and automation equipmentStrong interpersonal and computer skills including CADExperience with PLEX and PDMSkills & CompetenciesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative leadership styleSelf-motivated team player with the ability to work on own initiative.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.Professional, position and people-oriented approachPhysical & Environmental RequirementsAble to sit or stand for 8 -10 hours a day.Unairconditioned manufacturing facility and air-conditioned office
