Your experience will grow quickly to support the various demands of the buildings HVAC and plumbing systems. Proper selection and design ensure optimal environmental conditioning for the operation of the processing facilities systems. Using your broad focus, you will provide solutions to complex problems facing manufacturing and related customers.Design, preconstruction planning, and construction supportWorking with equipment partners to leverage the best technical solutions to the problems at handProject delivery methods – Design‐Bid‐Build and Owner's Engineer, depending on needFacility types – Industrial facilities such as food and beverage manufacturing, agricultural processing, semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive manufacturing and other leading edge industriesSystems – HVAC, plumbing, and chillersStudiesEnergy audit/efficiency – engineering studies, system performance reviews, and energy compliance calculationsCode review/application – facility review for code complianceProject ExecutionMechanical quality plans – concept development, defining the requirements area by area, and solutioningEquipment sizing and selection – using utility summary, facility layouts, and OEM resourcesPreferred QualificationsGeneral understanding of building and utility systems is preferred; interest in growing knowledge base and skillsets is requiredAbility to perform basic HVAC heat load calculations, energy modeling and HVAC equipment sizingAware of the technical submittal review processAware of bid review processMicrosoft Office SuiteBluebeam Revu or other markup tool, Revit or CAD experience a plusInternational Codes Council (ICC) Suite of CodesASHRAE, ASME, NFPA handbooks / standardsMinimum QualificationsRequires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicingMinimum of 1 year related work experienceAll applicants must be able to complete pre‐employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulationsCertificationsHolds in the process of obtaining Engineer‐In‐Training (EIT) certificationWork Environment/Physical DemandsThis position requires working in a typical office environment.
