This is a highly visible, impactful role that will help modernize and scale the accounting function for a $250M, growing services business.The Controller will play a critical role in building infrastructure, improving processes, and supporting continued growth.Job Details The Controller will serve as a key financial leader responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls.This role will manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and will play a major role in improving financial processes, scalability, and reporting accuracy as the company continues to grow.This position will partner closely with executive leadership to ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strong financial controls across a multi-location service-based organization.Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Operations Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations including: General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable & Billing Payroll Fixed Assets Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses.Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with company policies.Financial Reporting & Close Lead the monthly close process and ensure deadlines are met.Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting, and variance analysis.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred).8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership/management experience.Experience in a service-based, multi-location, or field services business strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.Experience managing full-cycle accounting: GL, AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets.Experience with ERP/accounting systems and process automation.Proven track record of improving processes in a growing or complex environment.Desired Traits Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves leader Process-oriented and systems-minded Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture Excellent communicator and cross-functional partner Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Interested in hearing more?
