The facility features a 12-bed department and is designated as a Level 2 trauma center, providing advanced surgical care to the community.Opportunity: Physician - Surgery - CardiovascularJob Details: • Position is for 1st assist to the Cardiovascular Thoracic (CVT) surgeon on heart cases• General surgeons are also welcome to apply (not limited to CVT specialists)• No office time required - focused solely on surgical cases• Monday through Friday schedule with no call responsibilities• No rounding required• Approximately 2 patient encounters per shift• Must be skilled in chest wall/pleural procedures• Required to perform chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement• Vascular surgery experience preferred, including thoracic aneurysm repairs, arterial bypass, peripheral procedures, vascular access devices, and AV shunt• Experience with adult, pediatric, neonate, and trauma surgeries required• Board certification required with active ACLS and BLS certifications• Must possess active California medical licenseCompensation: Employed salary with benefits.
