Focus is to ensure the accuracy of revenue recognition in accounting systems.This is a remote role; however, we strongly prefer candidates based in or near the Dallas, TX area. Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key ResultsResponsibilitiesManages, controls and tracks appropriately revenue recognition transactional activityAssist in month-end closing of the Accounts Receivable module and weekly/monthly reconciliationsMaintain and update accurate, complete, tracking of revenue transaction queuesAnalyzes information to determine validity of revenue recognitionReview client contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with policy and Revenue Recognition Accounting StandardsInvestigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicate revenue scenariosAssist in audit review, both financial and internal control relatedReview and respond to Accounts Receivable inquiriesPrepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and annual ad hoc reportingMaintains confidentiality of client and corporate informationProvide support to ad hoc projects as requiredEssential Skills RequiredStrong analytical skills, a can-do attitude with good organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate clearly & conciselyPresents numerical data effectivelyDemonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.Ability to work successfully under tight deadlinesExcellent people skills to collaborate with individuals across the organization and ability to discuss feedback in both technical and user-friendly languageBasic account reconciliation skillsStrong time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritizeThrives in a fast-paced, changing environmentAbility to pivot quicklyStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; able to identify issues and propose viable solutionsUnderstand and use the internal technologies required for daily functionsA self-starter attitudeWillingness to work overtime as required during peak closing periods and audit timeEducation And ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and two to five years related experience.Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe, experience using Workday Financial System is a plus.Certificates And LicensesValid driver’s license required.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe position requires limited supervisory responsibilities, including training employees, assigning work, and checking work for accuracy and completeness.Work EnvironmentStandard indoor working environmentHybrid Remote eligible; periodic days in office are requiredLong periods of sitting while working at computer.Occasional long periods of standing.Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the FirmIndependent travel requirement: none.Equal Opportunity Employer: disability/veteran
