Why This Role MattersWe're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering and product thinking someone who not only writes elegant, scalable code, but also deeply understands the "why" behind what they're building. You'll join a team that ships fast, owns outcomes, and works collaboratively with product and design to bring SecurityPal's vision to life. You'll be working closely with engineering leadership to design and build core backend systems and APIs, as well as contribute to the evolution of our frontend user experience. Your work will have a direct and visible impact on the platform used by hundreds of global customers every day. What You'll DoDesign, develop, and deploy backend services using Python and AWS infrastructure Contribute to full-stack features leveraging JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and AI/ML teams to ship customer-impacting features Build and maintain scalable, secure APIs that integrate with third-party services Take ownership of end-to-end product development from ideation to production release Champion best practices in code quality, system design, and DevOps automation Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of our engineering culture You Might Be a Fit If YouHave 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend or full-stack systems Are fluent in Python, AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.), and JavaScript/TypeScript Are product-minded you think about customer value and user experience as much as technical execution Thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments where autonomy and clarity coexist Have a strong understanding of modern architectures (microservices, event-driven systems, CI/CD pipelines) Care about building reliable, maintainable systems that scale Enjoy working collaboratively across time zones and disciplines Compensation & BenefitsBase salary: $170,000$200,000 Meaningful equity package Benefits PTO Quarterly trips to our Nepal office (optional but encouraged!)
