Develop a competitive program that is committed to the creation of student-athletes who demonstrate a commitment to academics, strong fundamental skills, and sportsmanship.Qualifications:Must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of a programCleared background investigationDemonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed belowPositive public relations skillsStrongly encouraged to complete a coaching principles coursesComplete a First Aid Course with CPR componentMajor Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate total development and promotion of the programPromotes all athletes to participate in sports and activities throughout the school yearPlan, organize, and conduct practice sessionsAdjust coaching techniques, based on the ability of athletesArrange and conduct program-specific activities, such as summer training, skills-improvement sessions, and pre-season try-outsInstruct athletes in rules, game strategies, and performance principlesProvide training, encouragement, and motivation to prepare athletes for competitionHire, supervise, and train assistant coachesDevelop and arrange competition schedules and programs with the approval of the Athletic DirectorGenerate additional funds for support of the program through approved fundraisersInventory and issue Athletic EquipmentProfessionally communicate with the mediaCarefully operate under state/league/school rules and regulations.Understand rules and regulations and comply with High school activities (See link:http://www.idhsaa.org/manage/articlefiles/11-Football.pdf Discipline, adjusts grievances and works to increase morale and cooperation.Provide all documentation to the Athletic Director to fulfill state and system requirements concerning physical examination, parental consent, and eligibility.Effectively manage a budgetManage and coordinate Athletic facilitiesAbility to evaluate assistant coachesDeal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner.Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.Adhere to the KMS academic standardsMaintain a school website for communication purposesAPPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
