Your job: Provide a variety of non-medical, home care services for our clients in their homes, allowing them to be safe and stay independent. Assists with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation (in-home care) Provides assistance with personal care as needed (including showering/bathing, toileting, etc.) Organizes activities for individuals while at home Serves as a companion for the individual who lives alone or needs assistance Run errands to the grocery store, laundromat, cleaners, drugstore, and other necessary locations Helps individuals move from room to room around their homes. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High School Diploma or GED Social Security Card or Proof of Eligibility for Employment Current physical and 2 Step TB test/Chest X-Ray Must be over 18 years old Must be drug-free Successful completion of Pennsylvania Criminal History Check, PA DHS Child Abuse Clearance, Office of Inspector General check, and FBI Fingerprinting for Child Protective Services Law (at employer’s expense) Be a pleasant and supportive companion Report any unusual incidents Exhibit’s ability to think, act quickly, calmly, and responsibly in cases of emergency Documentation of shift events on the online system required Understand the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of client and company information. Demonstrate knowledge of and respect for the rights, dignity, and individuality of each client in all interactions.
