Material Handler

Job Description Job Summary The Material Handler is responsible for supporting warehouse and manufacturing operations through the receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and products. This role ensures accurate inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and safe operation of material handling equipment while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inventory Management Receive incoming materials and goods in accordance with established procedures. Inspect shipments for accuracy and report any discrepancies or damages. Store materials in designated warehouse locations and maintain proper inventory organization. Re-stock shelves and ensure inventory is readily available for operational needs. Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives. Support kitting activities for manufacturing and production requirements. Shipping & Order Fulfillment Prepare, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently. Ensure orders are fulfilled and shipped on time to meet customer expectations. Process shipping documentation and maintain accurate records of shipments. Coordinate with internal teams to support timely delivery schedules. Warehouse Operations Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Move materials, products, and equipment throughout the facility as needed. Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards. Follow established procedures for material handling, storage, and transportation. Safety & Compliance Adhere to all company safety policies and warehouse operating procedures. Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent product damage and workplace incidents. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance warehouse efficiency and safety. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience. Ability to safely lift, move, or carry materials and equipment weighing up to 60 lbs. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Basic computer and inventory tracking skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Preferred Qualifications Previous forklift operation experience. Experience using Oracle or similar ERP/inventory management systems. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse best practices. Certifications (If Any) Forklift Certification preferred but not required. Additional warehouse safety or material handling certifications are a plus.
