MRO Shipping Clerk
Job Summary:The Logistics and Shipping Clerk coordinates inbound and outbound shipments to support engine maintenance operations. This role ensures parts, tooling, and materials are shipped, received, documented, and tracked accurately in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.Duties & Responsibilities:Prepare and process domestic and international shipments in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of aircraft parts, engines, tooling, and materials.Verify shipping documentation including packing slips, airway bills, export documentation, and certifications.Ensure proper packaging, preservation, and labeling of parts to prevent damage and maintain traceability.Enter and maintain shipping and receiving data accurately in the ERP system (Quantum or equivalent).Track shipments and communicate status updates to internal departments as required.Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and couriers to meet delivery schedules.Support compliance with export control, hazardous materials, and transportation regulations.Maintain accurate documentation supporting inventory movement and part traceability.Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move parts, materials, and tooling throughout the facility and to load or unload delivery vehicles.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving work area.Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned.Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED required.1–3 years of experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.Experience in an aviation, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environment preferred.Familiarity with ERP systems and shipping software (Quantum preferred).Skills:Strong attention to detail and accuracy in shipping, receiving, and documentation.Ability to follow written procedures and regulatory requirements in a logistics environment.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Quantum preferred).Forklift certification preferred (training may be provided by the company).Physical Requirements & Work Environment:Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials up to 50 lbs.Regular operation of a forklift and movement of materials throughout the shop floor.Work near industrial equipment, moving vehicles, and active maintenance areas.Exposure to chemicals, packaging materials, and shop environments typical of logistics operations.Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
