Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and prevent mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders in children and adolescents
Provide clinical diagnostic assessments and medication management
Conduct individual psychotherapy
Provide crisis intervention
Consult with medical providers and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
Provide in-service trainings to staff
Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to develop care plans and monitor progress
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited medical school
Completion of an approved residency in psychiatry
Completion of an accredited child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship
Board certification required
Valid NYS and DEA license
At least 1 year of experience in a mental health setting, outpatient clinic, or hospital
Ability to interact and communicate with a diversified population
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
