Overview In this role you will lead the design, development, and validation of robust manufacturing processes for medical components and devices. You’ll drive cross-functional collaboration to transition products from development to production, using data-driven methods to solve complex challenges. You will mentor peers, optimize tooling and equipment, and document technical rationales to ensure successful product introductions. This role has a clear impact on product quality, manufacturing readiness, and continuous improvement across sites in MN. Compensation / Benefitsbonus eligible with a target 10%medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matcheducation reimbursementpaid parental leavepaid time off ResponsibilitiesLead process design, development, and validation for medical devices through the product development processApply data-driven decision methods (DOE, pFMEA, DFM, statistics) to solve problemsDevelop, implement, maintain, and document robust technical processes for new product introductionsLead tooling/fixturing and equipment selection, procurement, and installation, and qualify it for useCreate or leverage validation protocols and engineering studies to support decisionsMentor other engineers and promote feedback cultureCollaborate with technicians and operators on the production floor to address technical issuesBuild regional relationships and share best practicesOther duties as required Key requirementsBachelor degree in Engineering or related technical field (strongly preferred)Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (1 year may substitute for a degree; 3 years for a doctorate)Manufacturing or Process Development experience in medical devices, micro-assembly, reflow, laser ablation/welding/markingKnowledge of Process Development EngineeringAbility to make complex data-driven decisions using statisticsExperience with process validation and installation qualification; engineering deliverables from product developmentAbility to communicate complex concepts to all audiences and influence cross-functional stakeholdersProven ability to develop cross-functional relationships and drive resultsWillingness to travel between Fridley and White Bear Lake, MN sitesCross-functional collaborationStrong communicationLeadership and mentorshipDesign of Experiments (DOE)pFMEADFM (design for manufacturability)
